The inspiration for this duo of occasionwear hats came from a perfect summers day. And centered around the echinacea sun seeker flower. Piece one is an abstract version of the flower. I used acrylic film to hand cut and heat form the petals. Mixed with some dyed organza petals these are placed on a wire structure which from the front looks like it’s floating.

Piece 2 is a more traditional wide brimmed hat with 3 echinacea flowers placed upon it. Made from embroidery thread and beaded cone and organza petals.
